Frequently Asked Questions

A monthly short film screening and community experience, not a traditional multi-day festival. Each event highlights one filmmaker and their work.

No. Submissions are completely free.

No. You must be originally from South Florida, but current residency is not required.

Yes. Films screened at other festivals are accepted. However, new or unreleased films are preferred.

Films already publicly available online are not eligible.

All of the following are mandatory:

  • Film screener
  • Trailer
  • Clip
  • Film poster
  • Director bio + logline

Missing any of these may disqualify your submission.

Selected filmmakers are expected to:

  • Attend the screening
  • Participate in a live Q&A
  • Appear in a promotional trailer
  • Provide a PowerPoint-style presentation for discussion

Typically one short film per event, allowing focused attention on each filmmaker.

A high-resolution festival-ready file:

  • H.264 or MP4
  • No Vimeo or streaming links for exhibition

Possibly. Monthly selections may be considered for:

  • Film.Cen.Tric Film & Arts Festival
  • Awards or recognition (not guaranteed)
